ASSALAMU ALAIKUM is a greeting in arabic which means "may peace (and blessings of allah) descend upon you".The typical response to the greeting is Wa'alaykumu as -salam which means "and peace be upon you too".
 
Kufic is the oldest calligraphic form of the various Arabic scripts and consists of a modified form of the old Nabataean script. In fact, the name derives from Kufa, a city in southern Iraq.The alphabets in this script is written in  a square or rectangle shape.
